Round of Junior Fair results released

Unless otherwise noted, the following individuals earned Awards of Excellence in their respective categories in the junior fair department of the Northern Wisconsin State Fair.

Foods revue (B-25)

The Chippewa County 4-H Foods Revue was held June 22 at the Chippewa County Courthouse. Participants were judged on the appeal and taste of the food, the menu the participant planned, and their knowledge of foods and nutrition. This year, 17 members participated.

Morgan Belshause (Wissota Raptors), Samantha Engel-Boiteau (Jim Town Jumpers) and Zach Brunner (Sunny Valley) earned Awards of Excellence.

Foods & food preservation (B-25)

Christian Buckles (Wissota Raptors) for chocolate mint brownie cookies

Dakota Jones (Ruby Rustlers) for stuffed strawberries

Bryce Swartz (Edson Hilltop) for grilled pizza

Zachary Brunner (Sunny Valley) for pumpkin bread

Hannah Brunner (Sunny Valley) for peaches

Rachel Krumenauer (Sunnyside) for jam

Alltrista Canning Awards

Jean Lyons (Mile Corner) for other berries, fruit or veggies

Emma Strecker (Jim Town Jumpers) for jam

Jean Lyons (Mile Corner) for applesauce

Aaron Turek (Sunny Valley) for tomatoes

Clothing revue (B-26)

The Chippewa County 4-H Clothing Revue was held on June 18. 4-H members model clothing items they have made. This year, there were 12 participants and 26 entries in the Clothing Revue.

Homemade item: Rachel Krumenauer from Sunnyside 4-H Club for her jumper and blouse, and Anna Connell from Wissota Raptors 4-H Club for her sun dress.

Buymanship: Emily Lehmann, Wissota Raptors 4-H Club, for her dress. 

Anna Connell, Kelsey Krall and Rachel Krumenauer were also chosen to represent Chippewa County in the style show at the Wisconsin State Fair in August.
